Sedonia Brock Dillon lived her life in full expression of a Proverbs 31 woman. Sedonia was reared in a Christian home, where she was taught the word of God and the importance of knowing Jesus Christ as a personal savior. Sedonia was steadfast and a loyal member of the Sweet Rest Missionary Baptist Church for over 70 years.

On Tuesday, Dec. 22, 2020, loved ones surrounded Sedonia as she faced the sunset of her days on earth and entered her rest joining her precious Savior in eternity. She has left an indelible impact to be remembered by her five children, Jerlean Dillon, Charlean W. Burris, Juliette Dillon McNeal, Sheilah D. Dillon and Yolanda “Dee” Dillon; 15 grandchildren, Rhonda Simmons, Eliska Dillon, Jonathan Dillon, Brandon Burris, Brianca Burris, Kaylon McNeal, Kendall McNeal, Valerie Lewis, Shantial Magee, Shondra Hunter, Shalandra Dillon, Cathy Jones, Bryant Dillon, Torrie Dillon and Troylynn Marks; 18 great-grandchildren; one sister, Minora Brock Watson; one sister-in-law, Allean Alexander; one brother-in-law, Van D. Dillon Jr.; two daughters-in-law, Roma Jean and Jacqueline Dillon; two aunts, Mae Dell Lewis and Anna Dean Dillon; one uncle, Walter Brock; and other relatives and friends.

Sedonia was preceded in death by her husband, Julius Dillon; parents, Noah and Corrine James Brock; parents-in-law, Van Dee and Selina Magee Dillon Sr.; one sister, Elnora Brock Brumfield; two sons, R. Ray Dillon and Earl K. Dillon; and one son-in-law, Jeffery T. Burris.

Drive-through viewing will be held on Friday, Jan. 1, from 2 p.m. until 6 p.m. A private funeral service will be Saturday, Jan. 2, at 1 p.m. at Sweet Rest Missionary Baptist Church, with the Rev. Norwert Hills Jr., pastor, officiating. Interment will be in Sweet Rest Memorial Garden.
