Sister Virginia Stringer Peters passed away on Saturday, Dec. 12, 2020, at Brookside Rehab in Bogalusa.

Sister Peters leaves to cherish her memories: one daughter, Shunita Belton of Angie; one sister, Dorothy Stringer; one brother, Charles Stringer; special nieces, Rita Pigott, Willie Dillon, Shantell Holmes and Katie Dillon, and Susan Haynes, all of Bogalusa, Joanna Stringer of Angie, Erica Stringer and Katrina Dillon of Houston, Texas, and Charlotte Brazzle of Fort Smith, Ark.; great-niece, Shonda Pigott of Angie; nephews, Sherman Stringer, Clarence Henry, Boswell Jordan, and Darren Lee of Bogalusa, Eugene Pigott and Derrick Lee of Sandy Hook, Miss., Michael Dillon of Fort Smith, Derrick Stringer and Ron Stringer of Oklahoma, and Eric Belton of Houston; sisters-in-law, Essie Stringer and Edna Bickham of Angie, Chris Stringer of Dallas, Texas, Martha Johnson, Theresa Peters, Linda Peters of Los Angeles, Calif.; one brother-in-law, Haburt Peters of Los Angeles; special friends, Iness Peters and Widie Brister; other close friend, Louisa Mingo; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles, in-laws and friends.

Sister Peters was preceded in death by her parents, Huller “Son” and Annie Stringer; her husband, Bobby Peters; and her brothers, Joe, John, Will and Louis Stringer.

Drive-through was from 3 p.m. until 7 p.m. Friday, Dec. 18, at Crain and Sons Funeral Home in Bogalusa. The funeral service will be held on Saturday, Dec. 19, at 4:30 p.m. at Crain and Sons Funeral Home in Bogalusa with the Rev. Versie D. Lee officiating.
