Mary Louise Patterson, born Oct. 1, 1953, died Dec. 17, 2020, at the age of 67. She was the daughter of the late Daniel Patterson Sr. and Emma Jewel Leonard Patterson.

She is survived by three sisters, Julie Miller, Dana (Philip) Peak and Tracy (Donny) Johnston; and her brother and sister-in-law, Daniel “Danny” Patterson Jr. and Becky Patterson.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Daniel Patterson Sr. and Emma Jewel Leonard Patterson; and a brother-in-law, James E. Miller.

Mary was our Ray of Sunshine, sent to us by God to spread her love and joy to everyone she met. She is so happy now to be with Mama and Daddy and to be able to walk and talk and sing and dance.

She was a member of First Missionary Baptist Church of Varnado and loved to sing in the choir and sing “Amazing Grace.”

Graveside services will be held on Monday, Dec. 21, at 1 p.m. at Pounds Cemetery. The Rev. Kelly Penton will be officiating.
