Bogalusa defeats Independence, Franklinton in games this week

Bogalusa’s Lumberjacks defeated Independence and Franklinton in  games that took place on Tuesday and Wednesday.

Both games were at home.

Tuesday’s game was a 75-47 win over Independence.

Josh Taylor and Daylon Jackson tied for the team lead in points with 16 each.

Chance Turner posted 13.

Quientay Henry had 12 points in the victory.

On Wednesday, Bogalusa topped Franklinton, 59-55.

Taylor led the way with 21 points.

Jackson posted 18 points.

Cornelius Laurant was Franklinton’s leading scorer with 20 points that included three 3-pointers.

Albert Browhaw scored 11 points that included a 3-pointer.

Jaheim Jefferson tallied eight points and made a pair of 3-pointers.

De’Airreous Magee posted seven that included a 3-pointer.

Cam’ron Stewart had five points.

Keey’ontreh Williams and Wyatt Lambert all tallied two points.

Bogalusa’s next game will take place during the Archbishop Hannan Hustle Tournament, which is set for Dec. 28-30.

Franklinton’s next game will take place on the road Monday against Jesuit.
