Trio of local teams competed in tourney at Lakeshore

Bogalusa, Franklinton and Mt. Hermon played in the Lakeshore Titans Thanksgiving Tourney that took place Nov. 23-25.

Teams played one game each day.

Bogalusa, which posted a 1-2 record, were defeated by Lakeshore, 61-33, in their first game of the event.

Chance Turner tallied 11 points to lead Bogalusa.

Bogalusa rebounded from the loss by defeating Franklinton, 80-66.

Quientay Henry led the Lumberjacks with 22 points.

Turner tallied 18.

Karry Conerly posted 15.

Daylon Jackson recorded 11 points.

Bogalusa’s final game was a 64-43 loss to Mandeville.

Henry posted 11 points to lead Bogalusa.

Turner and Jackson had nine each.

Franklinton also posted a 1-2 mark.

The Demons were defeated by Mandeville, 77-31, in the first game.

The next contest was the loss to Bogalusa.

Franklinton’s final contest was a 73-61 victory over Pope John Paul II.

Mt. Hermon School was defeated in its three games.

The first was a 70-63 loss to Pope John Paul II.

Michquel Spears was Mt. Hermon’s leading scorer with 23 points. He made seven 3-pointers.

Tevin Williams posted 11 points.

Dewayne Smith and Rashad Oatis posted nine each. Smith made a 3-pointer.

Jordan Harrison posted seven points that included a 3-pointer.

Travell Brumfield and Jonatan McMahan recorded two each.

The next contest was a 68-36 setback to Mandeville.

Williams topped Mt. Hermon with 11 points.

Kamron Brumfield and Oatis recorded seven each. Brumfield made a 3-pointer.

Travell Brumfield posted six points.

Spears had three with a 3-pointer.

Jordan Harrison had two points.

Mt. Hermon’s final game of the tournament was a 79-67 loss to Lakeshore.

Travell Brumfield missed a triple-double by just one assist. He recorded 18 points and 10 rebounds and nine assists along with three steals and he blocked a shot. Brumfield made two 3-pointers.

Smith recorded 16 points, six rebounds and a steal. He made three 3-pointers.

Spears tallied 15 points, six rebounds and three steals. Spears made five 3-pointers.

Williams was just a rebound from a double-double, going for 13 points and nine boards along with an assist and a steal.

Kamron Brumfield had three points, two rebounds and three steals. He made a 3-pointer.

Harrison put up two points, two boards and three assists.
