Pine High School’s Makia Clark

Pine High School’s Makia Clark is a four-sport athlete. The senior plays volleyball, basketball, softball and track/field.

Clark, who is an outside hitter in volleyball, was a first-team all-district team member in 2019 and second-team player in 2018. All-district has not been announced in volleyball for this season yet.

Clark is a power forward in basketball.

In softball, Clark is a centerfielder.

She was a first-team all-district player her freshman and sophomore year.

In track/field, she competes in shot put and discus.

Clark was fifth in Class 2A in discus with a throw of 108 feet, 10 inches.

This year, Clark is going to try javelin.

Last year’s spring sports seasons, softball and track/field for Makia, were canceled early in the season because of the COVID-19 pandemic.

“She’s one of our two seniors, her and her twin sister Kiyasha,” Pine girls and boys basketball coach Brett Cooper said. “They’re both multi-sport athletes for the school. They’re great leaders to the team and they’ve been a big help for me in my transition to coaching the girls basketball team.”
