Katherine Lucille Lee Williams Bayard passed away on Nov. 8, 2020, in Covington, at the age of 92. She was born in Henleyfield, Miss., on Oct. 9, 1928.

She was a long time resident of Bogalusa, where she enjoyed being involved in her community. She was a homemaker and co-owner of Williams Super Service alongside her husband, Paul Williams. She was a long time member of Westside Emmanuel Baptist Church where she was a member of Ruth’s Sunday School Class. She was also a member of the Bogalusa Garden Guild, Matrons Club, Delphian Book Club, Bogalusa Civic League, American Legion Auxiliary, Ingleside Literary Society, and YMCA board. She was also a Y-Teen Leader, and Campfire Girls Leader.

She leaves behind her daughters, Renee Williams Gremillion, Angela (Ronnie) Williams Pickering and Karla Williams Mizell; her grandchildren, Dana (Jeff) Guerra, Britt (Monica) Champagne, John Paul Pickering and fiancé Hillary, George (Jennifer) Scruggs Jr., and Katie (Zackary) Mizell Louk; and great-grandchildren, Emma and Olivia Guerra, Hannah and Noah Champagne, Aubrey, Savannah and Caleb Scruggs, and Makenzie, Chris and Lucille Louk. She is also survived by her nieces and nephews, Sarah Lee DeVine, Carolynn Lee, Patricia Lee Faucheaux and Walter Lee.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Williams; her parents, Walter and Flora Wise Lee; two brothers, James Stanley Lee and Cecil Laverne Lee; and niece, Pamela Lee Lousteau.

Services celebrating her life will be held at Poole-Ritchie Funeral Home and Crematory in Bogalusa on Saturday, Nov. 14. Visitation will begin at noon and continue until the funeral service begins at 3 p.m. The Rev. Marcus Rosa and the Rev. George Scruggs Jr. will officiate. Music will be provided by Waylon Mills. Interment will follow at Ponemah Cemetery. Acting as pallbearers will be Ronnie Pickering, Britt Champagne, George Scruggs Jr., John Paul Pickering, Jeff Guerra and Zack Louk.
