Silas Joseph “S.B.” Bickham was born July 23, 1944, to the late Mr. and Mrs. Julius and Lona Bickham. He departed this life on Wednesday, Oct. 21, 2020, at his residence in Franklinton.

He was married to the late Bonnie Jean Robertson Bickham and to this union six children were born.

Both his wife and son, Richard E. Bickham, preceded him in death along with his parents, brothers, sisters and son-in-law, Ronald E. Penton.

He leaves to cherish his memory: five children, Henry E. (Patricia) Bickham and Amy L. (Terrance) Crosby, both of Franklinton, Mary L. Ponton and Alicia M. Bickham, both of Mt. Hermon, and Silas S. (Shineta) Bickham of Lacombe; his sisters-in-law, Catherine Dillon, Alberta (Michael) Dillon, Wanda (William) Patton, Patty Cotton, Janice Brumfield, Amelia (Wayne) Cyprian and Bettye Robertson, all of Franklinton; his brothers-in-law, Albert L. (Michelle) Robertson and Joe (Michelle) Handy, both of Franklinton; 32 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

He also leaves a friend, Wyonna James, and his “Buddy,” Dan L. Brown.

The funeral service will be held Friday, Oct. 30, at 11 a.m. at the Mt. Zion Church of Christ Holiness. Visitation will be held Thursday, Oct. 29, from 2 p.m. until 5 p.m. with a family hour from 5 p.m. until 6 p.m. at the Cook-Richmond Funeral Home in Franklinton. Interment will be in the Hayes Cemetery.
