Varnado basketball raffling off a barbecue pit
Varnado High School is raffling off a barbecue pit package to benefit the boys basketball team.
The package includes a barbecue pit, utensil set, charcoal, chimney starter and pit cover.
The raffle costs $5 to enter.
The raffle takes place at Varnado’s regular season opener, which will take place on Tuesday, Nov. 17 against Fontainebleau.

Franklinton Soccer Club registration
Registration is always open at the Franklinton Soccer Club.
To register, go to www.franklintonsoccerclub.com. You can pay the registration fee and uniform fee separately there.
Registration for the fall season is still open. The season began on Oct. 10 and runs through Nov. 21.
The club plays at the Atoka Recreation Complex this Fall on Hwy. 25. It is located two miles from the entrance to the Washington Parish Fairgrounds.
