Maxie Lee Sonnier passed away on Sept. 25, 2020, in Baton Rouge, at the age of 76. She was born in Enon on Nov. 23, 1943.

She is survived by her loving husband of 31 years, Billy Ray Sonnier of Port Allen; her children, Robert (Wanda) Sonnier of Westlake, Amy (Travis) Alleman of Brusly, Shelly (Adrian) Guillot of Iowa, La., and Sherry (John) VanEtten of Tylertown, Miss. She is also survived by her 12 grandchildren and numerous other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Reece and Vilee Jones; and her brothers, Danny Jones, Thomas Jones and Billy Wayne Jones.

Services celebrating her life will be held at Poole-Ritchie Funeral Home on Sunday, Sept. 27. Visitation will begin at noon and continue until the funeral service begins at 2 p.m. Interment will follow at Williams Cemetery. The Rev. Pete Williams will officiate.
