Bogalusa traveled to Fontainebleau on Thursday to scrimmage against the Bulldogs as the regular season begins next week.

The event featured a few series of plays along with special teams work. It capped off with a 10-minute quarter.

“I think we got a chance to evaluate some talent on both sides of the ball,” Bogalusa coach Adam Brumfield said. We had some missed assignments offensively and a ton of dropped balls, which I think had to do with maybe some early season jitters. We also have to do a better job sustaining drives. Defensively, we had some missed tackles, but nothing I don’t think we can’t clean up some. I thought the effort and intensity was good. We had a few injuries, which is what you don’t want to happen in a scrimmage, but hopefully they won’t turn out major. We will have to wait and see. We look forward to playing Franklinton next week and I know they feel the same way. I think the atmosphere will be great here Friday night and I’m glad to have an opportunity to get back to playing football.”

The home game against Franklinton takes place on Friday, Oct. 2 and is the 2020 season opener.
