James W. Pierce, 67, passed from this life to be with our Lord Jesus Christ on May 24, 2020. He died from COPD that he developed from a stroke that he had three years ago. Jim was preceded in death by his father and mother, Wayne W Pierce and Gladys Lucille Nichols Pierce of Bogalusa. Jim is survived by his sons, James Marvin Pierce (wife Missy) and Richard Wayne Pierce. Jim is also survived by grandchildren Arielle, Mackenna, and Maverick, and many nieces and nephews. He is also survived by his brothers, Otis W. Pierce of Mandeville, and Stephen R. Pierce of Bogalusa.

Jim was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force, Vietnam era, and will be buried with a military honors ceremony at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Sept. 26, in the Veterans Cemetery within the Ponemah Cemetery in Bogalusa. The public is invited to attend, and the ceremony will be conducted by Jim’s nephew, Brother Wayne Pierce.
