Bogalusa travels to Fontainebleau on Thursday to scrimmage against the Bulldogs at 6 p.m.

“Obviously we are excited to start back playing football and have some sense of normalcy,” Bogalusa coach Adam Brumfield said. “It’s good to get a chance to go against someone else. It’s a scrimmage, so we aren’t going over there to try and win. We are just looking to evaluate some kids and try and stay healthy.”

The teams will begin by working on kickoffs with no tackling before running series of plays with the first and second stringers.

Then they will go into punts and punt returns with no tackling.

Field goals are next with no rushing before capping off the event with a 10-minute quarter.

Both teams went 3-7 last season and each had some close losses.

Bogalusa went 2-3 in games decided by one possession.

The Bulldogs lost four games by seven points or fewer.

Bogalusa will host Franklinton to open the regular season on Oct. 2.
