James “Jamie” Wilson Adams, born May 8, 1971, passed away Sunday, Sept. 13, 2020, at his home in Bogalusa, at the age of 49.

Our kind, gentle Jamie loved sharing in special times with his family. He was one to bring humor and laughter to all. Jamie found happiness in teaching his grandchildren, nieces, and nephews how to fish, hunt, throw rocks in the creek, ride a four-wheeler and pretty much anything to do with nature. Their joy was his joy. Their happiness was his happiness. He was their “Paw Paw,” their “Biggin,” their “Jimmy Jam,” their best friend. His laughter and his smile will be missed dearly by so many.

Jamie is survived by his wife, Tammy Dearth; three step-daughters, Megan Pierce (Nathan), Taylor Mizell (Brandon) and Marissa Dearth; his mother, Linda Kimble Adams; two brothers, Scott Adams (Stephanie) and Donnie Adams (Tammy); one sister, Lori Colapietro (Chris); grandmother, Marie Carlisle Kimble Borde; five grandchildren, Kynli, Rayden, Caymen, Annalise and Eligh; eight nieces and nephews, Kevin Adams (Emily), Blake Adams (Faith), Jenny Norman (Vince), Anthony Colapietro, Alex Colapietro, Jonathan Jarrell (Stefany), Bobby Jarrell and Jessica Jarrell; and 11 great-nieces and great-nephews, Dylan, Krista, Savanna, Bella, Jackson, Axton, McKenna, Lainey, Trenton, Braylon, Kolbee and Kingston. He is also survived by Terah Keaton; brother-in-law, Jose Montenegro; and numerous cousins and special friends.

Jamie was preceded in death by father, Donald R. Adams; sister, Stefanie Adams Montenegro; grandfather, Don T. Borde; grandmother, Alberta Jenkins Adams; grandfather, James Pap Adams; and grandfather, Wilson Ned Kimble.

Brown McGehee Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. A memorial service will be held at a later date for close family and friends.
