Missionary Anita Faye Magee Brumfield was born March 1, 1952, to the late Mr. Ollie and Antronette Magee. She was the fifth child of 14.

Missionary Anita passed away on Friday, Sept. 11, 2020, at her residence in Franklinton.

She leaves to cherish her loving memories: two daughters, Sonya Middleton of Franklinton, and Trinise Brumfield of Lakewood, Calif.; one son, Darrian (Ebony) Brumfield of Franklinton; seven grandchildren, Morgan Middleton and Marli Middleton, both of Franklinton, Tyler Magee of Franklinton, Darrian Brumfield Jr. of Franklinton, Dazarian J. Brumfield and Aleaja M. Brumfield, both of California, and Jaylon J. Simon of Las Vegas, Nev.; five great-grandchildren, Braylen J. Brumfield, Amilia S. Brumfield, Aminah Simon of California, Zavian Brumfield, and Zion Brumfield; four god-children, Davonna Williams, Yancey James, Kevion Ginn and LaTia Lowe; seven sisters, Katherine (Lloyd) Pickett of Carson, Calif., Sarah (Cladis) Silvie, Paulette Magee, Pamela (DeVan) Williams and Marie (Marcus) Ford, all of Long Beach, Calif., Consue Henderson of San Diego, Calif., and Sandra Ratliff of Franklinton; four brothers, Hamilton (JoAnn) Magee, Daria Magee and Frank (Dueoan) Magee, all of Franklinton, and Brian (Deanna) Mingo of Folsom; two aunts, Pearlean Sims and Geraldine Alford; two uncles, Larry Harvey and Harvell Harvey; her mother-in-law, Mrs. Ada M. Brumfield; sister-in-law, Anita (Clifford) Jefferson Sr.; and Chandra Thomas and a host of other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Houston Brumfield Jr.; her son, baby Brumfield; her parents, Ollie and Antronette Magee; three brothers, Ollie Magee Jr., Truman Magee and Barry Magee; one sister, Jacqueline Martin; and grandparents, Supt. Monroe and Pearlie Magee, Ora Magee, Dea. Pearlie and Mattie Lee Harvey.

A drive-through viewing will be Friday, Sept. 18, from 2 p.m. until 6 p.m. at Crain and Sons Funeral Home in Franklinton.

The funeral service will be Saturday, Sept. 19, at 11 a.m. at Magee’s Temple Church of God in Christ with Supt. Cecealine Tate, pastor, officiating.
