Bowling Green wins both games this week

Bowling Green went 2-0 this week with road victories over Amite School Center and Lamar Christian School in games held Monday and Tuesday.

The Lady Buccaneers topped Amite School Center, 6-3, on Monday.

Landry Dupont posted three hits and two runs scored.

Cassidy Spears singled twice, drove in a run and scored two runs.

Albanie Fussell tallied two hits and an RBI.

Anna Claire Crowe tallied two singles and two runs batted in.

Dixie Camaille singled, scored a run and posted an RBI.

Kylee Burris doubled.

Brylie Fowler drove in a run and KaKa Seal scored a run.

Winning pitcher Aleigha Fussell pitched a complete game, allowing one earned run on six hits with five strikeouts and a walk.

The Lady Buccaneers trailed 1-0 through one inning. Bowling Green tied the game in the third before adding three runs in the fifth. Amite School Center pulled within one in its half of the fifth, but Bowling Green added a pair of insurance runs in the sixth for the three-run margin.

Bowling Green was victorious over Lamar Christian School, 14-0, in four innings on Tuesday.

Cassidy Spears doubled twice, drove in four runs and scored two runs.

Hallie Serigne posted a pair of singles, an RBI and three runs scored.

Albanie Fussell doubled and drove in two runs.

Camaille doubled, drove in a run and scored a run.

Madison Thomas doubled and scored two runs.

Elizabeth Wilkinson scored two runs and drove in a run, while Aleigha Fussell and Seal scored a run and drove in a run and Julia Berggren and Burris scored a run each.

Olivia Serigne was the winning pitcher. She pitched the entire game, allowing just one hit with four strikeouts, no walks and two hit by pitches.

Bowling Green scored in every inning. The Lady Buccaneers scored three runs each in the first and third, while posting four each in the second and fourth.

Bowling Green will play Monday and Tuesday at home against Amite School Center and Lamar Christian School, respectively.
