Steven Ray Freeman was born June 4, 1956, in Bogalusa. Steven went to be with the Lord on August 29, 2020, at Our Lady of the Angels Hospital.

He is survived by a brother, Carl (Jean) Freeman of Covington; and four sisters, Bobby Sue Varnado, Barbra Ann Smith, and Sheila Hall of Bogalusa and Evie McNeese of Covington. He has several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews, and two special great-great nieces and nephews, Trayce and Haydence Anders. Also, two special friends Wayne Oxner and Willis (Pety) Crain.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Alvia and Odie Mae Freeman; and two brothers, Joseph J. Freeman and Donald Freeman.

Visitation will be at Brown-McGehee on Friday, Sept. 4, at 10 a.m. Service will start at 2 p.m. with internment following at Ponemah Cemetery in Bogalusa.
