Eagles’ Moore named Player of the Week

Ben’s Ford Christian School’s Alston Moore was named the Impact Sports Player of the Week for week one.

The senior had a strong performance in the Eagles’ 58-21 victory over Rebul Academy to begin the season on Aug. 21.

Moore ran for 201 yards on 12 carries and a touchdown. He also caught two passes for 75 yards and a pair of scores. Defensively, Moore returned an interception for a touchdown.

Ben’s Ford (1-1) plays again on Friday when the Eagles open District 2A2 play on the road against Hebron Christian School.

Impact Sports does the rankings for the MAIS, the Mississippi High School Athletic Association and Alabama Christian Athletic Association. The rankings are done by a select group coaches for each classification. Impact Sports also has players of the week. They also host individual and team camps. They also have tournaments.
