It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of David Laverne Jenkins II. “Lil D” “Boo Boo.” Born Dec. 2, 1979, he passed Aug. 7, 2020.

He is survived by his wife, Megan Bickham, and their children, Coralyn, Alex and Josie; his siblings, Michael, Christopher, Jesse, Krystle and Stephanie Jenkins; his nieces and nephews, Michael, Trent, Jonathan, Autumn, Lauren, Tember-Lynn, Ariel, David, Rosie, Xavier, Dakoda, Jayda, Jayson, Jaydon, Jay-Lynn, Zachary, Brad, Serenity, Marissa, Breezie, Skylar, Scarlett and Joseph Yarborough, all of whom he loved unconditionally; and also his mom, Laura Garner, close family, Jeremy and meme, Lacy and Nicole. He had several brothers from the heart, Shane Robinson, Bradakieh Jenkins, Johnathan Ferguson, Devan Williams, Adrian Goings, and Robert Simmons; special friends, Mr. Robert Harvey and family; aunt, Lona Stockstill; and so many cousins and friends.

He was preceded in death by his father, David Jenkins I; uncles, Bo, Kenny, Carly, Walter, Tommy and Michael; aunt, Sally; grandmothers, Ida Sanders and Carolyn “Memaw;” and cousins, Lil Walt, Rachael, and J.K.

David “Lil D” was a great man who was loved by so many in his life. He was a loving husband and a wonderful father. He was so strong and the rock that everyone leaned on. He had the best personality and a smile that was contagious. He was always willing to go above and beyond for anyone who needed him. He was such an inspiration to so many people. David’s passing has caused great sadness in the lives of all who knew him and he will be forever missed. David had the best outlook on life and was always so humorous, but he also knew when to be serious and take control of any situation.
