Bowling Green School faced Adams County Christian School in a road scrimmage on the road Friday.
The teams played four 10-play series four times with each offense and defense going twice. They capped off the scrimmage with a 15-minute quarter, which ended in a 7-7 tie.
“It went good,” Bowling Green coach Riley Boudreaux said. “ACCS is a tough team. They beat us up pretty good, but in the quarter, we tied them at 7-7.”
In the period, Johnathan Savarese threw a 70-yard touchdown to Javon Bickham.
Also in the scrimmage, Dalton Crain caught a touchdown pass from Savarese on a 4-yard score.
Defensively, Crain intercepted a pass and Jacob Dobraska recovered a fumble.
Bowling Green was scheduled to play in the Madison-Ridgeland Academy Jamboree, but the jamboree has been canceled because of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Bowling Green will open the regular season on Friday, Aug. 21 against Cathedral Unit School. The contest takes place at Southwest Mississippi Community College in Summit, Miss.
