Katrena Carol Miller “Tena” was born on Sept. 11, 1967, in Independence, to Lola May Graves and the late James Wilburn Jordan (Sam).

She departed her earthly life on Saturday, Aug. 1, 2020, at St. Tammany Hospital with her loving family at her bedside.

Tena’s passion was her children. She loved and adored caring for her children in which she had many children she raised, children who had no home or were being abused or were simply in a bad situation. She took them in and they called her mom. She was an amazing mother and she had a heart of gold.

She worked caring for the disabled, the elderly and the mental incompetent for many, many years until her health began to fail her years back.

She leaves to cherish her precious memories: her three loving children (biological) Christoher Moses Miller “Boo Boo,” Kamber Danielle Sibley “Honeybee,” and Christopher Eugene Austin Miller “Dub,” all of Pine; and three grandchildren, Kateria May Danielle Miller “T.T.,” Tyler Austin Moses Caterly “Ty,” and Kevin James Dewayne Caterly “Foote,” all of Franklinton.

She is also survived by her mother, Lola May Graves of Bedico; her ex-husband and father of her children, Howard Austin Miller Jr. “Pee Wee;” her fiancé, William Ottis Jenkins “B.J.,” both of Pine; her only sister, Diane Jordan Bourgeious “D;” her brother-in-law, Jim Bourgeois; her niece, Brooke Foucheaux; her great-niece, Jasmin Foucheaux; and her great-nephew, William Foucheaux.

She was preceded in death by her father, James Wilburn Jordan “Sam;” daughter, Vertia Lolitia Miller “Sissy;” and son, Peter Austin Miller “Petey,” “Thumper.”

She will forever be in our Hearts and she’s greatly missed but she’ll never be forgotten. Fly high and Rest in Heaven (R.I.H.).
