Kenny Dewane Smotherman passed away on Wednesday, July 22, 2020, in Franklinton, at the age of 73. He was born in Bogalusa on Dec. 6, 1946.

He is survived by his brother, Bennie D. Smotherman; and his sister, Patricia Ann Stafford Garcia. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Hattie and Delmar Smotherman; and siblings, Don Smotherman, Thomas Smotherman, Margie Smotherman Kuhn, Dolly Smotherman Linder and Polly Harris.

Graveside services celebrating his life will be held on Saturday, Aug. 1, at T.P. Fornea Cemetery in Varnado, beginning at 10 a.m.
