Komeka was born to Rosetta (Will) Tillman, the late Freddy B. Peters and Carolyn Watterson on July 25, 1976. She gained her wings on July 18, 2020, at St. Tammany Hospital in Covington, at the age of 43.

She attended Bogalusa High School. She graduated with the class of 1994. Komeka worked at Maximus Federal as a CSR.

She leaves to cherish her loving memories: her mother, Rosetta (Will) Tillman; her daughter, Shaniqua (Demarius) Tillman; her son, Damion Bernard Obrien Tillman; two grandchildren, Kiyan and Kegan Holmes; five brothers, Roy (Brenda) Tillman, Gerald Watterson, Rodrick (Vonta) Tillman, Marcus (Robin) Tillman, and Derrick (Dione) Peters; two aunts, Renee Peters and Patricia (Clarence) Abrams; four uncles, Richard (Hynethia) Harris, James Watterson, Charles Watterson and Kenneth Wayne Peters; a special cousin, Rhonda Abrams; two special friends, Charlotte Thomas and Brenda Tillman; her fiancée, William Shelton James, all of Bogalusa; and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Carolyn Ann Watterson; father Freddie B. Peters; and Roy Lee Tillman.

Drive-thru viewing will be on Friday, July 24, at Crain and Sons Funeral Home in Bogalusa from 3 p.m. until 6 p.m. The funeral service will be Saturday, July 25, at 1 p.m. at the funeral home with Pastor Edward Sartin, officiating. Interment will be in the Bogalusa Cemetery.
