Margie Irma Vincent Parker passed away peacefully at her home in Bogalusa surrounded by her family on July 13, 2020, at the age of 88. She was born on Nov. 3, 1931, in Denham Springs.

Margie touched many lives throughout her life. She was a loving mother and homemaker for many years. She was a faithful member of Zion Lutheran Church. She also helped many people with intellectual disabilities as a manager for ResCare Inc.

She is survived by her loving children, Stephanie Parker (Scott) Adams of Bogalusa, Craig (Debbie Varnado) Parker of Bogalusa, Nancy Adaline (Chris) Miller of Mandeville; her grandchildren, Matthew (Mandy) Falke, Brittney Falke (Matthew) Griffin, Jenny (Vince) Norman, Kevin (Emily) Adams, James Caleb (Savannah) Parker, Josh Yates, Justin (Amanda) Yates, Maggie Adele Miller, Nicholas Parker Miller, Nathan Christopher Miller; and her great grandchildren, Dylan, Wyatt, Tristan, Olivia, Paisley, McKenna, Laine, Kylea, Ella, Callie, Seth, Drew, Addison, and Brody. She is also survived by many nephews, nieces, cousins, an abundance of friends; and her special caregivers for five years, Connie, Katy, Jolen, Mattie, Cindee, and Yspronga; and her hospice family, Jamie, Jessica, and Brother Jacob.

She was preceded in death by her husband, James Elbert Parker; her parents, Percy and Adaline Vincent; her brothers, Sidney, Elmer, and Marvin; and her two sisters, Lillian and Inez.

Services celebrating her life will be held at Poole-Ritchie Funeral Home & Crematory on Friday, July 17. Visitation will begin at noon and continue until the funeral service begins at 4 p.m. Bro. Darryl Fortenberry will officiate. Interment will follow at Ponemah Cemetery.
