Jenny Gayle Kersey, 75, passed away in Shreveport on June 11, 2020.

Jenny was born on June 15, 1944, in Bogalusa, to parents (deceased) G.L. and Billie Van Haverbeke.

Jenny loved to go to garage/estate sales, always on the lookout for that treasure with her husband. She loved finding a bargain. She was a vibrant, fun-loving person, who was a friend to all.

Jenny was predeceased by her parents and brother, Mike Van Haverbeke. She is survived by her husband of 35 plus years, Russell Kersey. She also leaves behind two daughters, Valynda (Debbie) and Jodi Moran; one sister, Alida Gage (David); a niece, Ruby (Thomas); and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She also leaves behind numerous friends who were like family to Jenny.

Memorial services will be held at Elizabeth M. Sullivan Methodist Church in Bogalusa on Friday, June 19, starting at 11 a.m.
