Elizabeth “Betty” Boyd Rawls, 87, a native of Bogalusa, passed away on June 13, 2020.

She was the widow of Osber Clifton “Cliff” Rawls and was preceded in death by her parents, Dwight A. Boyd and Elizabeth Fowler Boyd; her son, George Aubrey Rawls Sr.; and son-in-law, Henry Clay Howell IV.

Survivors include her daughters, Melinda R. Howell of Jackson, and Sarah R. Davis of Bogalusa; and son-in-law, K. Scott Davis, also of Bogalusa. She is also survived by a sister, Barbara “Bobbie” Boyd Cantrell and brother-in-law, Marvin “Pot” Cantrell of Bogalusa. Her surviving grandchildren, their spouses, and children include Joshua and Brooke Davis with Scott and Bennett; Aubrey and Tonya Rawls with Gavin; Henry and Ariane Howell with Henry VI and Eleanor; Jacob and Christa Davis with Jonathan, Christopher, and Ava; Nathan and Shelley Davis with Haven and Sage; and Clara E. Howell.

Services were held on Tuesday, June 16, at Poole-Ritchie Funeral Home. Visitation began at 1 p.m. and continued until the service began at 3 p.m. Interment followed at Ponemah Cemetery. Rev. Greg Whaley officiated.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to First Baptist Church of Bogalusa.
