Franklinton’s boys track/field team featured six seniors that included Stacy Ard, Zach Brumfield, Christian Burkhalter, Mason Givens, Spencer Lambert and Malachi Martin.

Their season was canceled because of the COVID-19 pandemic.

“Most of these kids have been here for the four years, three with me,” Franklinton coach Chris Brown said. “They’re hard-nosed kids. Most of the kids were behind people and they stuck it out. I was expecting big things from them. It’s heartbreaking because they were supposed to be a big part of our team.”
