Due to the potential of heavy rain from Tropical Storm Cristobal, the Washington Parish Government, City of Bogalusa and Town of Franklinton will have sand bags available beginning Friday at 10 a.m.

Locations are as follows:

• City of Bogalusa (limit of 10 per person) — Austin Street at Bauer Street, Main Street ballpark, or Avenue B Sports Complex. Sand and bags are available at each location. Bring your own shovel.
• Town of Franklinton (limit 10 per person) — 1108 Lenora St. Pre-filled bags are available.
• Outside city limits — Washington Parish Fire District No. 7, 17380 Bill Booty Road, Bogalusa. Sand and bags are available. Bring your own shovel.

The following locations have limits of 10 pre-filled bags. Bring a shovel to fill additional bags if needed.

• Public Works Location No. 2, YACC Road, Bogalusa (behind animal shelter), Public Works Location No. 3, 801 Pearl St., Franklinton.
