Just because society has been shut down due to COVID-19 (coronavirus) doesn’t mean collegiate softball players of tomorrow can’t get better today.

To help young athletes still work on their craft while quarantined, Pearl River softball coach Christie Meeks has developed a new series of virtual at-home clinics.

The videos — which are available to any athlete or coach who wants to get an edge — will hit on the three main parts of the game: Pitching, hitting and catching.

“During this pandemic, schools are unable to provide camps and clinics like usual. Therefore, we wanted to provide an opportunity for future players to be able to continue to grow in their specific skills,” Meeks said. “All coaches have had to think outside of the box lately and I believe this will actually allow us to reach more players throughout the state than we may have gotten an opportunity to before.”

Each 20-minute instructional video is $30.
