Mrs. Rebecca Jordan Brown was born March 2, 1927, in Bogalusa, and departed from her earthly house to her home in glory on May 28, 2020, at Our Lady of the Angels Hospital in Bogalusa.

She was preceded in death by her father, Mr. Alvin Jordan; her mother, Mrs. Sarah Henry; her step-father, L.V. Henry; son, Charles Jordan; daughter, Lisa Casnave; sister, Dottie William; and brothers, Cleon, Michael and L.T. Henry.

She leaves to cherish her loving memories: husband, William Brown of Bogalusa; son, Boswell (Majorie) Jordan of Bogalusa; two daughters, Tonya Jordan of New Jersey and Sarah Shrell Jordan (Jerrell Climerson) of Atlanta, Ga.; grandchildren, Boswell Magee, Xavier Jordan, Patton Jordan, Spencer Casnave, Aquarruis Casnave, Rasheede Casnave, Destiny Jordan, Amari Jordan, Yani Jordan, Benard King Jr. and Shaqurry Alexander; a grand-daughter she raised as her own; five great-grandchildren; sisters, Gladys Mitchell of Memphis, Tenn., Rachel Drummond (Renard) of Bogalusa, Diane (Luther) Brown of Houston, Texas, Treasie (Michael) Ishman of Bogalusa; brothers, Otis (Vera) Henry of New Roads, Clarence (Tasha) Henry and David Henry of Bogalusa, and Willie Henry of Slidell.

Drive-thru visitation will be Monday, June 1, from 2 p.m. until 7 p.m. at Crain & Sons Funeral Home in Bogalusa. The funeral service will be Tuesday, June 2, at 11 a.m. at Crain & Sons Funeral Home, with the Rev. Willie Gauthier, pastor, officiating.

Interment will be in the Bogalusa Cemetery.
