Mrs. Ruth Lumpkin Bennett, 94, passed into the arms of her Savior and Redeemer, Jesus Christ on May 14, 2020. A private graveside service will be celebrated by her family. Memorial service to honor Mrs. Bennett will be held at a date to be announced.

Mrs. Bennett was preceded in death by her parents, W.B. Lumpkin Sr. and Louise Williams Lumpkin; her husband, Lester Bennett; her granddaughter, Megan Marie Mizell; her sisters, Artie Mae Lumpkin Sandifer, Rosamond Lumpkin Amacker, Genelia Lumpkin Stewart, and Rebecca Nell Lumpkin Crain; and her brother, W. B. Lumpkin Jr.

She is survived by her brother, Paul Lumpkin; son, David Lester Bennett; two daughters, Diane Bennett Mizell (Larry) and Janice Bennett Walters; her three grandsons, Chad Walters (Hilary), Lane Bennett (Chryssy), and Cleve Matthew Mizell; one granddaughter, D’Lea Mizell Hollandsworth (Spence); and nine great-grandchildren, Lily and Quinn Walters, Torres and Jude Bennett, Rylee and Chord Mizell, Cooper, Kensley and Cason Hollandsworth.
