Black’s release stated the following:

“Acting in accordance with Louisiana Constitution, Article V, Section 1 and the inherent power of this Court:

“And considering the Additional Measures — Stay Home (41 JBE 2020) as a result of COVID-19 declared by Gov. John Bel Edwards on April 2, 2020, being extended through May 15, 2020, and further, in consideration of the hazardous and unsafe conditions caused therefrom:

“It is hereby ordered that all Court matters (Civil and Criminal) scheduled through May 15, 2020, at Bogalusa City Court will be continued to a later date. “The order does not limit the Court’s ability to rule on DFCS and Delinquent Juvenile matters.”
