Stefanie Adams Montenegro was born June 11, 1963, in Topeka, Kan. Stefanie passed away Friday, April 24, 2020, at her home in Bogalusa, at the age of 56. Our sweet “Sissy” was a dedicated and loving daughter, granddaughter, wife, sister, mother, aunt and cousin. Stefanie was the backbone of her family and caretaker for all. She will be dearly missed by so many.

Stefanie is survived by her husband of 15 years, Jose Montenegro of Bogalusa; two sons, Jonathan Jarrell and his wife Stefany of Bogalusa, and Bobby Jarrell of Bogalusa; one daughter, Jessica Jarrell of Bogalusa; her mother, Linda Kimble Adams of Bogalusa; three brothers, Scott Adams and his wife Stephanie of Bogalusa, Donnie Adams and his wife Tammy of Franklinton, and Jamie Adams and his wife Tammy of Bogalusa; one sister, Lori Colapietro and her husband Chris of Alpharetta, Ga.; her grandmother, Marie Borde; four grandchildren who were the light of her life, Trenton, Braylon, Kolbee and Kingston; nieces and nephews, Kevin Adams and his wife Emily, Blake Adams and his wife Faith, Jenny Norman and her husband Vince, Anthony Colapietro, Alex Colapietro, Megan Pierce, Taylor Mizell, and Marisa Dearth; great-nieces and nephews, Dylan, Krista, Savanna, Bella, Jackson, Axton, McKenna, Kynli, Rayden, Caymen, Annalise and Eligh. She is also survived by numerous cousins and her extended family in Panama, her special cousin Terah Keaton, and her friends.

Stefanie was preceded in death by her father, Don Adams; and her grandfather, Don Borde.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers please make donations to Mary Bird Perkins Cancer Center in Covington.
