Henry Anthony Pigott was born Aug. 18, 1966, in Bogalusa, to the late Joe L. Pigott and Janice P. Pigott. He departed this life on April 6, 2020, at St. Tammany Hospital of Covington.

Anthony, also known as “Jazzy,” was a 1984 graduate of Bogalusa High School, where he played varsity football and ran track. He loved social gatherings with family and friends. He was always willing to help where needed. One of his many sayings when he came around was “How y’all are.” When he was around, there was never a dull moment. One of his favorite pastimes was playing cards with family and friends.

He leaves to cherish memories of his life: a loving mother, Janice P. Pigott; two god-daughters, Daphne Walker-Butler and Malia Morris; one god-sister, Judonya (Cookie) Moss; three aunts, Shirley Peters, Rose Rayford of Bogalusa, and Vander Marie Jordan of Franklinton; two special cousins, Henry “Man” Rayford and Deloris Walker; and a host of cousins, friends and neighbors.

Henry Anthony Pigott was preceded in death by his father, Joe L. Pigott; two grandmothers, Lucille Peters and Eulise Pigott; two uncles, Henry (Willie) Pigott and Albert J. Peters; and four aunts, Doris Peters, Annie Rose Smith, Barbara Williams and Ora Dee Bickham.
