Ms. Bonnie Mae Weary was born Feb. 4, 1954, in Bogalusa, to Mr. Levoice Peters and Mary Bertha Peters, for which her father proceeded her in death. She attended Wesley Ray High School in Angie. As a young child, she joined Wesley Ray United Methodist Church in Angie, where she accepted Christ at an early age and remained a member until her sunset.

As a young woman, Bonnie lived in Angie with her two children and worked for over 20 years at American Lace Fabric in Bogalusa.

Bonnie enjoyed shopping, traveling, music, cooking and spoiling her grandchildren. She was well loved by family and friends.

Bonnie departed this life on the morning of Sunday, March 29, 2020, at home with family in Bogalusa. She leaves to cherish her ever-loving memory: two children, a loving daughter, Voncile Weary, and loving son, Loterry Weary; seven grandchildren, DaVonte Weary, Derick Lockett, Terreck Weary, Torain Weary, Kinsley Weary, Renayia Spikes and Joshua Spikes; sisters, Velma Magee, Reola Peters, Sheri Peters, Janice Peters and Linda Peters; brothers, Vern Peters, Elvis Peters (Teresa), Rodney Peters (Hessie), Jerome Peters (Karen) and Leon Peters; and her grandparents whom all preceded her in death, (maternal) Mr. Tommie Peters and Mrs. Willie Peters and (paternal) Mr. Lonnie Peters and Mrs. Fannie Peters.

Ms. Bonnie Weary will lie in rest with Crain and Son Funeral Home in Bogalusa. A graveside service will take place on Saturday, April 4, at 1 p.m. at Mose Cemetery, located in Washington Parish in Angie.
