Charles Alfred Seal, 91, passed away March 18, 2020, at his residence.

He retired in 1985 after 35 years with Crown Zellerbach.

He is survived by his wife of 69 years, Ruth Mevers Seal; two daughters, Jane (Jimmy) Hernandez of Bogalusa, and Dianne (Steve) Coleman of Hattiesburg, Miss.; six grandchildren, Laura (Drue) Stewart-McMillan, Candy (Troy) Crain, and Jessica Miller, all of Bogalusa, Jim Hernandez of Zachary, Amy (Bryan) Fagan of Tupelo, Miss., and Danielle (Michael) Gentry of Magee, Miss.; nine great-grandchildren; and a half-brother, Patrick Seal of Salem, Ohio.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Adolphus and Laura Alice Fortenberry Seal; two infant sons, Charles Alfred Seal Jr. and Charles Alan Seal; three brothers, Talmadge Seal, Daniel Seal and Edwin Seal; and five sisters, Rosalie Daigre, Mecia Warner Knight, Audrey Stogner, Adrienne Calender and Charlotte McDaniel.

A graveside service was conducted by Brother Jim Byrd on Saturday, March 21, and interment followed at Ponemah Cemetery.
