Joan E. Sholes, 67, was a resident of Franklinton and the daughter of the late Macedonia Wilson. She was raised by Mary Wilson and the late Robert Wilson. She was a member of Bethel Church of Christ Holiness. Joan was a retired school teacher from the Washington Parish School System.

She leaves to cherish her memories: her mother, Mary Wilson of Franklinton; two sisters, Caroll (Max) Magee of Franklinton and Sonjua (Malcolm) Deason of Lufkin, Texas; three brothers, Robert Earl (Regina) Wilson of Franklinton, Roger Wilson of Covington, and Terry Breland of Hattiesburg, Miss.; and a host of other relatives and friends.

The visitation will be held Monday, March 23, from 10 a.m. until 11 a.m. Funeral services will be private.
