Claudia Johnston Bond of Carriere, Miss., passed away Tuesday, Feb. 25, 2020, at the age of 100.

Claudia was born Sept. 19, 1919 in Selma, Ala. She was a long-time resident of Carriere, and a former resident of Bogalusa. She loved animals and was an avid gardener and book reader.

She is survived by two sons, Meridith C. Bond of Knoxville, Tenn., and David C. Bond of Bogalusa; one daughter, Andrea Marie Foil (James) of Carriere; and nine grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Cabe Bond; and parents, Claude and Trila Johnston.

Services will be held at a later date.
