Robert Hart was born on Oct. 31, 1944, to the late Lonnie Hart and Alar Magee. On Feb. 4, 2020, he was called home to eternal rest.

He leaves behind to cherish his loving memories: a devoted wife, Thelma Hart; three sons, Antoine Handy of Franklinton, Jevon and Travis Tucker, both of Hammond; four sisters, Dessie (Gary) Sparlet of Chicago, Ill., Barbara (James) Bickham, Linda (Johhny Ray) Warren, both of Franklinton, and Dorothy Hart Manuel of Atlanta, Ga.; two sisters-in-law, Teresia Hart and Jackie Tate, both of Franklinton; two brothers-in-law, Willie (Dora) Manning of Biloxi, Miss., and General (Ada) Clark of Berkeley, Calif.; grandchildren; and a host of other friends and family.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Lonnie Hart and Alar Magee; one son, Robert James Hart Jr.; two brothers, Lonnie Hart Jr. and Julius Hart; two sisters, Lavarne Sturgis and Phaylor Brumfield; and a granddaughter.

Visitation will be held Saturday, Feb. 15, at Crain and Sons Funeral Home from 4 p.m. until 6 p.m.

The Funeral Service will be held Sunday, Feb. 16, at Bethel Church of Christ Holiness U.S.A. at 2 p.m. with Elder Alvin Partman officiating. Internment will be at Hart Cemetery.
