Sister Jacqueline Magee Martin was born May 23, 1954, to the late Mr. Ollie and Mrs. Antronette Magee as the sixth child of 14. She passed away Jan. 22, 2020.

Jackie united with Magee’s Temple C.O.G.I.C. under the leadership of her grandfather, Superintendent Monroe Magee and the now presiding Pastor Cecealine Tate.

She leaves to cherish her memories: her husband of 44 years, Donald R. Martin Sr.; two daughters, Biani (Kelvin) Ginn and Jessica Martin; two sons, Donald (Justine) Martin Jr., and Michael (LaShon) Martin Sr.; four brothers, Hamilton (JoAnn) Magee, Daria Magee, and Frank (Dueoan) Magee of Franklinton, and Brian (Deanna) Magee of Folsom; 20 grandchildren; one great-grandchild; eight sisters, Katherine (Lloyd) Pickett of Carson, Calif., Sarah (Cladis) Silvie, Paulette Magee, Pamela (DeVance) Williams and Marie (Marcus), all of Long Beach, Calif., and Consue Henderson of Franklinton; six sisters-in-law, Cynthia August, Alice Magee, Gloria Hart, and Edna Magee, all of Franklinton, Sarah Nichols of Angie, and Mary Francis Wiggins of Baton Rouge; three aunts; two uncles and a host of other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Ollie and Antronette Magee; her daughter, Maddox Lee Martin; three brothers, Ollie Magee Sr., Truman Magee and Barry Magee; mother and father-in-law, K.T. and Elvie Martin; Superintendent Monroe and Pearlie Magee and Ora Magee.

Visitation will be held on Friday, Jan. 31, from 2 p.m. until 6 p.m. at Crain and Sons Funeral Home, with a family hour from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m.

The Funeral Service will be held Saturday, Feb. 1, at Magee’s Temple C.O.G.I.C., located at 703 14th Ave. in Franklinton, at noon. Interment will be in Bethel Cemetery.
