Citizens from across Washington Parish came together Saturday to participate in the annual MLK parade in Angie, although this year it took on a special extra significance.

Parade participants had a special focus on remembering the death of JaQuarius Taylor, a 17-year-old from Varnado, who was killed in a homicide on Jan. 12. Authorities are offering a $5,000 reward for information that can lead to the arrest of Taylor’s killer.
