Varnado’s Elizah Miller had a big night, helping the Wildcats start off District 9-2A play with a 57-48 win over Kentwood at home on Friday.
Miller recorded a double-double with 15 points and 15 rebounds, along with four steals, an assist and a block.
Kim McGowan Jr. posted 14 points, two rebounds, three assists and six steals.
Michael Fland tallied 13 points, two rebounds, two assists, two steals and a block.
Varnado’s next game will take place on Friday, with a road contest against Amite.
