Tyrell Lee Symon, the son of Brenda and Joseph Brock and Greg Symon, was born on April 23, 1992, in Richmond, Calif. Tyrell was a graduate of Berkley High School, Class of 2011. Tyrell moved with his family to Bogalusa in 2000, and became a faithful member of Metropolitan Baptist Church, going faithfully to Sunday School and church every Sunday with his grandmother (Fannie Magee).

Tyrell was a very happy and outgoing person, and loved his family very much. He was always smiling and laughing, even on his bad days. Tyrell never met a stranger in his 27 years of life, he lived a full and energetic life, and created lots of unforgettable memories with everyone he knew.

Tyrell leaves to cherish his memories: his mother and dad, Brenda and Joseph Brock of Bogalusa; his father, Greg Symon of Las Vegas, Nev.; four brothers, Joseph Jones of California City, Calif., Michael Stedge of Green Bay, Wis., Allan (Lia) Stedge of Bogalusa, and Greg Symon Jr. of Oakland, Calif.; four sisters, Crystal Archie of Bogalusa, LaQuandra Jones of Texas, Sholunda Jones and Joselyn (Quinton) Jarvis of Baton Rouge; a special friend, Michael Johnson of Bogalusa; two special and wonderful women in his life, “Mama D” (Debra Jones) and “Mama Deirdre” (Deirdre Tyrone); grandmother, Laverne Symon of Las Vegas; two uncles, Norman Brock of Bogalusa, and Francis (Brandi) Stedge of Baton Rouge; five aunts, Charlene (Mickey) Swaffer of Redding, Calif., Carolyn Allen of Bogalusa, Williester (Willie) Peters of Angie, Andranette (Larry) Lott of McComb, Miss., and Cheri Sevier of Nevada.

Tyrell was preceded in death by his grandfathers, Francis Stedge and Harold Whitaker; grandmothers, Beverly Stone, Rachel Hogan, and Fannie Mae Magee; an aunt, Linda Magee, and uncle, Arcell Magee Jr.; and cousins, Jean Nichols and Lester Magee.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, Jan. 4, at 1:30 p.m. at the American Legion Home, located at 547 East Avenue in Bogalusa.
