Dear Editor, I wrote this poem and would like to share it with your readers:

 

“Monday Night”

What’s going on tonight?

A football game, that’s right!

It’s the Saints up for the test

Doing what they do the best.

Drew Brees is a wonder to see,

The best that he can be.

He is great on making contact,

That’s a really big fact.

Drew just made the record in TD passes!

If you didn’t see it, put on your glasses.

It takes the whole team to play —

That is what they all say.

It was not a shutout,

Now we can let out a shout.

The Saints have won once more.

A team that we adore,

Hurrah for the Black and Gold!

My story has been told.
