Ella Rose Passman Gerald, 89, of Franklinton, died at 2 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 10, 2019, at her residence.

She was a member of Briarwood Baptist Church. She enjoyed visiting with her friends and going to church.

She is survived by her son, Keith Gerald of Saraland, Ala.; daughter, Angela G. Melancon of Franklinton; five grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; sister, Betty Bodden of Hoover, Ala.; and two brothers, Michael Passman of Petal, Miss., and Mannfred Passman of California.

She was preceded in death by her daughter, Deborah Farinholt; her husband, Beryle Gerald; her parents, Archie and Lillian Brumfield Passman; and five siblings.

Visitation was at Briarwood Baptist Church from 9 a.m. until 11 a.m. Friday, Dec. 13. A funeral service was held at 11 a.m. at the church, with the Rev. Eric Williams officiating. Burial followed in the Highland Cemetery in Hattiesburg, Miss.
