Alston C. Williams, a native and lifelong resident of Angie, passed away Sunday evening, Nov. 24, 2019, at Resthaven Living Center in Bogalusa, at the age of 77.

He is survived by his brother, Nathan H. (Myra) Williams of Angie; two nephews, Alan (Brenda) Williams and Darron (Melissa) Williams, both of Angie; four great-nieces, Ashley (Matt) Milton of Angie, Alana (Cody) Wise of Franklinton, Abby (Trevor) Parker of Covington, and Baylie Williams of Angie; and three great-great-nephews, Easton Milton, Kingsley Wise and Owen Parker. He was also survived by numerous other relatives, and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, A.C. and Mavis Williams.

Funeral services were held in the chapel of Poole-Ritchie Funeral Home on Tuesday, Nov. 26, at 11 a.m., with the Rev. Larry Mizell and the Rev. Jason Shawley officiating. Interment followed in the H. H. Williams Cemetery.

A visitation was held Tuesday morning from 9 a.m. until the service time at 11 a.m. at the funeral home.

Pallbearers were Matt Milton, Cody Wise, Trevor Parker, Dale Kennedy, Ed Ginn and Herbie Williams.
