Mrs. JoAnn Sharp passed away on Friday, Nov. 8, 2019, at her home in Bogalusa, at the age of 79. She was a native and life long resident of Bogalusa. Mrs. JoAnn loved working in her yard, she also loved animals, especially her little Daisy. She also loved traveling and camping, and spending time with her family.
She is survived by two sons, Rusty Sharp and his wife Diane of Bogalusa, and Jeffery Sharp and Paula of Bogalusa; two daughters, Samantha Penton and her husband Kenneth of Bogalusa, Fran Perry and her husband Leon of Franklinton; and one sister, Cheryle Barber and her husband Billy of Bogalusa. JoAnn is also survived by eight loving grandchildren, Tamara Magee of Houma, Taylor Lott, Gavin Goings, both of Bogalusa, Amanda and her husband Cody Sumrall, of Franklinton, Jeremy Perry of Franklinton, Dusty and Megan Sharp of Pass Christian, Miss., Beth Mizell and husband Matt of Bogalusa, Alexandra Sharp and (Gary Pittman) of Bogalusa, Holly Smith of Bogalusa, and Meghan Sharp of Alexandria; and 13 great-grandchildren.
JoAnn is preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, Charles Sharp; her parents, Amelia Moffette and Orville Winburn; one sister, Joy Lovinghouse; and one brother, Orville Winburn.
Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend funeral services on Wednesday, Nov. 13, at 2 p.m., at Brown-McGehee Funeral Home in Bogalusa. Visitation will begin for the public at 9 a.m. until the service time. Officiating will be Tommy Pittman. Interment will immediately follow at Hillview Memorial Gardens in Bogalusa.
