Barbara Ann Ruiz Luquette, 86, passed away on Wednesday, Oct. 30, 2019, at Heritage Manor of Mandeville. She was born in Ascension Parish on May 22, 1933.

Barbara Luquette was a joy to all who knew her. She was energetic, fun-loving, loved company, and loved her Lord. She was a member of Palestine Baptist Church.

Barbara was preceded in death by her husbands, Irby Luquette and Howard Nuttall; her adopted daughter, Evelyn Deville; her parents, Edward and Carrie Gomez Ruiz; brothers, Manual, Edward, George, Lauren and Alex Ruiz; and sisters, Lula Babin, Beulah Amedee and Carrie Stogner.

She is survived by grandsons, Lauren and Chad Touchet; and numerous nieces, nephews, and special friend, Chad Dufrene.

Graveside services were at 10 a.m. on Friday, Nov. 1, at Palestine Baptist Church Cemetery, with the Rev. Fred Brumfield officiating. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the Palestine Baptist Church Benevolence Fund at 59369 Palestine Church Road in Bogalusa.
