Mrs. Allie Branton, passed away Thursday, Oct. 31, 2019, at the age of 83, at St. Tammany Parish Hospital in Covington.

Mrs. Allie was a native of Cleveland, Tenn., and a long time resident of Bogalusa. She was a faithful member of Emmanuel Missionary Baptist Church. Mrs. Allie was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She was a retired beautician who will be missed by her many clients.

She is survived by two sons, Kenneth Branton and his wife Beth of Bogalusa, and Ralph Branton of Bogalusa; two daughters, Rebecca Seal of Franklinton, and JoAnn Diederich and her husband Kenneth of Cabot, Ark.; and three sisters, Ozie Bodner of Verona, N.Y., Barbara Smith of Bogalusa, and Freddia Miller of Tylertown, Miss. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren, and five great-great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Allie was preceded in death by her late husband of 43 years, Howard Branton; her daughter, Debbie Brumfield; her parents, Johnny and Agnes Newton Blackwell; three brothers, Jerry Blackwell, Edwin Blackwell, and Freddie Blackwell; and one sister, Joyce Brock.

Relatives and friends of the family were invited to attend funeral services at Brown-McGehee Funeral Home in Bogalusa, on Tuesday, Nov. 5, at noon. Officiating was Brother Pete Underwood. Visitation was held on Monday, Nov. 4, from 5 p.m. until 10 p.m., and resumed Tuesday, Nov. 5, at 8 a.m. until the service time at noon. Interment immediately followed at Emmanuel Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery in Bogalusa.
