Baby Ariah Ai’Yanna Mingo was born Aug. 29, 2019, to Jevianna Pigott and Arthur Mingo Jr. at Woman’s Hospital in Baton Rouge, and later transferred to Children’s Hospital in New Orleans. She passed away on Sept. 29, 2019.
She was the couple’s first-born child, and a tremendous, awesome Blessing and example of God’s Love, touching the lives of all those who came in contact, or cared for her. Ariah is now Safe in the Arms of the Master Caregiver-Jesus. Although we held you in our arms for a little while, you will always be embedded in our hearts and spirit forever, you were a true Warrior, and you, Ariah, fought the Good Fight. The memories we shared with you will never, ever be forgotten.
Baby Ariah was a part of a very close knight family and leaves to cherish her fondest memories of her short-lived life: her mother, Jevianna Pigott; father, Arthur Mingo Jr.; grandmother, Shawanna (Shane) Wilson and Tanika Mingo; and grandfathers, Arthur Mingo Sr. and Jeffery Pigott; four aunts, Ja’Kirstan Pigott and Jayla Wilson, Tanzanik Mingo and BriAnna Randall; an uncle, Joshua Moss; great-great-grandmother, Maude Mangrum; great-grandparents, Pastor Curtis Moss Jr. and Evelyn Moss, Amy Wilson, Ruby L. Mingo and Mary Ann Keys; a very special great-aunt, Christina Moss; Debra Mingo; Phlesher Mingo; and great-uncles, Carl Moss, Curtis Moss III, Donnell Pigott, Leroy Pigott, John Mingo, Billy W. Mingo, Cedric Mingo, James Keys, Kenneth Keys and MarLotha Keys.
Funeral service will be held Saturday, Oct. 5, at 2 p.m. at Mt. Carmel Baptist Church, located at 841 E. Sixth St. in Bogalusa. The Rev. Dr. Douglas Hart is the pastor, and Pastor Curtis Moss will be the eulogist.
